The 2020 Jeep Gladiator
4×4 is a term and a function that is woven deep into the Jeep® brand’s heritage, personality and vehicle features.
It’s also a day on the calendar (April 4) for enthusiasts to celebrate the lineup of go-anywhere Jeep vehicles from the iconic Wrangler to the all-new 2020 Gladiator, the most capable midsize truck ever.
2020 Jeep® Gladiator Rubicon
Gladiator is the newest addition to the Jeep family and marks the brand’s return to the midsize truck market with a pickup that offers advanced fuel-efficient powertrain options, unrivalled towing and unrivalled 4×4 payload capacity.
“We knew we had a loyal following and we brought back something that we’ve done for years,” said Scott Tallon, who added that Jeep has had a truck in the marketplace for nearly 50 of the brand’s 78 years. “There has been anticipation for a number of years that Jeep would bring back the pickup truck and compete in this segment again.”
When the Gladiators arrive in showrooms, they will feature “things that truck customers really care about,” including best-in-class towing, best-in-class 4×4 payload, a modern, authentic design instantly recognizable as a Jeep along with advanced fuel-efficient powertrains.
“We didn’t want to just bring a pickup truck and variant of a Wrangler,” Tallon added. “We wanted to make sure it was built and fit the needs of what a truck buyer was looking for beyond the capability that is inherent in all our Jeep vehicles.”
The new Gladiator is the latest vehicle in the Jeep brand’s revamped and expanded portfolio, which has helped expand the brand, bring in new customers and keep them in the family, Tallon said.
Who’s ready for the 2020 Jeep Gladiator? We sure are!
